Handlungsanweisung: Bitte betreten Sie den Lift einzeln! Es ist erwünscht, dass nichts was darin passiert nach außen dringt, denn es geht niemanden etwas an. Drinnen „punkten“ die Willigen für die eigene Meinung indem sie persönliche Thesen rot auszeichnen.
Der Kunstlift wird regelmäßig zur Wahlkabine: Besucher werden jeweils mit existentiellen Themen konfrontiert und entscheiden für sich. „Geheime Wahl“ ist eine hybride Arbeit, die formal und thematisch aus einzelnen Segmenten besteht.
Schritt I. – In der analogen Welt können die Teilnehmer rote Punkte auf handgemalten Statements zu existentiellen Themen verteilen – ganz haptisch, aber isoliert uns einzeln, ohne dabei mit anderen kommunizieren zu können. Wir haben zum Anfang den Lift gewählt, finden aber öffentliche Toiletten auch sehr geeignet. Sie sind ein Rückzugsraum, werden in der Regel einzeln besucht, stehen in dem Ruf Quellort guter Idee zu sein, und sind oft kahl.
Schritt II. – Kahl werden die Räume im zweiten Schritt auch sein, wenn in der letzten Stunde des jeweiligen Ausstellungstages die Tafeln eingesammelt, fotografiert und ausgewertet werden. So, wie die/der einzelne WählerIn nicht verraten wird, so ist die „digitale Zeitung“ auf den Briefkästen im Aussenraum eine Blaupause dessen, was im Innenraum ermittelt wurde. Selbstredend werden die Stimmen gezählt, ohne das Ergebnis zu manipulieren, so sind die Medien, wenn das Volk herrscht.
